About  Tom Gang

Tom Gang has entered a new phase of his career as the owner-business manager of Sister Act Community Child Care in Carrollton, Missouri. Prior to that, Tom Gang served several education institutions as a football coach, administrator, and teacher for 20 years.

Gang began his coaching while in graduate school at California State University-Fullerton, where he earned a bachelor of science in physical education and played football; he also assumed part-time teaching duties. After that, he became an assistant football coach for Ceres High School, again taking on an extra role as a PE instructor.

Remaining in the state, Tom Gang returned to the college ranks, holding the same positions at Modesto Junior College. He assisted the head coach in recruiting, practices, and viewing athletes' film. His teaching load consisted of basketball, fitness, and weight training.

His head coaching career began at Mendocino College. Among his accomplishments was winning the California Community College Athletics Association championship three times and being named Coach of the Year twice. He also worked to promote academic success for all athletes and oversaw departmental budgets.

After advancing to the athletic director's chair, Gang maintained community relations, made travel arrangements, and upheld compliance with regulations, including Title IX.

In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, golf, scuba diving, and working with weights. He also likes to cook, especially barbecue and breakfast. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
